General Conditions
These terms and conditions constitute the general principles for table reservations, menu selection, beverages, payment, number of covers, and obligations – divided into general conditions, rules for reservations, terms for larger groups, special days, etc. Please read the terms and conditions in their entirety to align expectations, avoid any misunderstandings – and feel free to reach out with any questions.
We may experience busy periods that result in waiting times, although we naturally do everything we can to avoid such situations. Enjoy the company – and we will be there as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, we are in a time where we cannot always be optimally staffed in relation to the number of guests who wish to arrive relatively simultaneously. We, therefore, need to ask for your understanding and acceptance of these situations, and that some waiting time may occur. We hope that we can make it all worthwhile with our beautiful location, kind staff, and delicious food.
We are happy to assist with special needs regarding the menu. We gladly accommodate children’s menus, vegetarian options, and other special needs, as long as it is possible for us to help to a reasonable extent.
In general, we unfortunately have to pass on vegan menus, just as there may be other conditions we cannot assist with – and we generally cannot adjust our dishes and menu compositions.
Paid parking is available in front of the restaurant. Parking is reserved for restaurant guests only. Therefore, use your EasyPark app with area code 8743, and Torvegade 79 will appear – then set the parking time accordingly.
We are unfortunately experiencing an increasing tendency for guests to not show up for their reservations or cancel very late. In some cases, it may therefore be necessary to charge a fee for late cancellations or no-shows. See section 5 below for more information.
Card Information Upon Reservation
To guarantee your reservation, Restaurant Ravelinen needs your payment card information. This must therefore be provided when booking through our booking system.
Your card information is stored securely with the third-party provider Nets, and Restaurant Ravelinen does not have direct access to the information. The card information is automatically deleted after your visit.
Both Dankort, Visa, and Mastercard can be used. Unfortunately, we do not accept American Express.
Payment with Dankort and private credit cards is free of charge, while a fee of 1.99% is added to the bill for company credit cards and foreign credit cards. This is because we are charged a corresponding fee from the card issuer for these cards. We, therefore, encourage you to pay with Dankort, private credit card, or cash, so that payment can be made without fees!
Principles for Ordering
We expect that you will order beverages with your meal as needed on the day, which will be paid for together with the food. Unfortunately, it is not possible to pay individually – but we are happy to split the bill into several tables if that is the case.
3.1 8-11 covers
To avoid further waiting time for you and other guests, we ask that you choose a relatively uniform menu. Children and vegetarians are of course exempt. For lunch, it could be one of our delicious cold tables, where you can taste a little of everything. Alternatively, a maximum of 2 different dishes can be chosen for each round of servings at the table. So, if 3 rounds of servings are chosen at the table, 2 different kinds of dishes can be ordered in each of the 3 rounds of serving.
For dinner, it will be possible to choose between 2 appetizers, 2 main courses, and 2 cheeses/desserts.
3.2 12 Covers or More
As a larger group, you will need to choose a uniform menu in advance to avoid unnecessary waiting time. Unfortunately, we are unable to do it any other way.
With regard to beverages, we ask that a collective or general order is made for the table(s) to avoid unnecessary waiting time for you and other guests. In general, it will not be possible to make individual orders, but we will of course be very happy to try to be helpful with special needs. Beverages are paid for together with the food. Unfortunately, it is not possible to pay individually – but we are happy to split the bill into several tables if that is the case.
3.3 Particularly Popular Days
On particularly popular days, there will be a limited menu to avoid unnecessary waiting time. Special rules apply to the reduction of the number of covers or cancellation, cf. section 5.4 below.
We will of course make you aware that it is a special day with special conditions before you order on the day – and we also note this in the first part of your confirmation.
Adjustment of Number of Covers
For changes in numbers, times, or menu, please let us know as soon as possible if we need to correct anything. Otherwise, we will of course stick to the agreement we have made and the general rules for cancellation below.
4.1 More Covers
If you should have more covers than agreed, we will of course try to accommodate this, but this cannot be guaranteed, and we reserve the right to refuse the request.
4.2 Fewer Covers
For reduction of the number of covers, please refer to section 5 below.
No-Show / Late Cancellation
We are unfortunately experiencing an increasing tendency for guests to not show up for their reservations or cancel very late. In some cases, it may therefore be necessary to charge a fee for late cancellations or no-shows. See below for more information.
5.1 1-11 Covers
For reduction of the number of covers later than 48 hours before the time of the reservation, or in case of no-show, a fee of DKK 200 per cover will be charged for the number of covers that were booked, as we have allocated resources based on the original booking.
5.2 12 Covers or More
For parties (i.e. 12 covers or more), special terms apply for reduction of the number of covers, cancellation, or no-show. This is necessary for Restaurant Ravelinen’s ability to allocate resources in relation to such larger groups.
For reduction of the number of covers later than 14 days before the time of the reservation, we charge 50% of the full cover price for the canceled covers.
For reduction of the number of covers later than 8 days before the time of the reservation, we charge 75% of the full cover price for the canceled covers.
For reduction of the number of covers, or cancellation, later than 5 days before the time of the reservation, we charge 100% of the full cover price for the canceled covers.
In case of no-show for the reservation, we charge 100% of the full cover price for the number of covers that were booked.
Unless another cover price has been agreed in the booking confirmation, a cover price of DKK 600 will be calculated for the above-mentioned charges.
The above-mentioned amount will be charged to the payment card that was provided in connection with the reservation.
5.3 Particularly Popular Days
There are some days of the year when it is particularly popular to eat out. This means that we as a restaurant are vulnerable to late cancellations and no-shows – e.g. in relation to Christmas lunches.
For reduction of the number of covers, or cancellation, later than 14 days before the time of the reservation, we charge 100% of the full cover price for the canceled covers.
Unless another cover price has been agreed in the booking confirmation, a cover price of DKK 600 will be calculated for the above-mentioned charges.
If Misfortune Strikes
If misfortune should strike and someone at the table damages tableware or other items beyond what is reasonable in connection with the visit, this will be added to the bill. It costs DKK 500 if someone needs to clean up after someone who vomits. We of course hope that you will help to ensure that this does not happen, but the guest who made the reservation is reasonably responsible for keeping track of the other guests at the table.
If a situation should arise where we are subject to external restrictions that may change parts of an otherwise agreed arrangement, we will of course always try to adapt our agreement so that the arrangement that has been reserved can still be held in the best possible way.
