Dinner Functions

In short, Restaurant Ravelinen has a large nice garden overlooking the water around Christianshavn – and 200 meters from Christianshavns Torv – a small oasis in the middle of the city.

The garden can be covered by large awnings with the touch of a button, and our two pavilions are nice indoor surroundings. Great and casual setting overlooking the water – right in the center and accommodating 360 guests.

Our menu suggestions are food served at the table in multiple small servings. The guests has several items to choose from and it’s a nice way to eat together – just like at home.

If you want a different composition of our servings, just pick the item you like and we will make a corresponding cover price.

There may be adjustments of the individual servings in the menu, according to seasonal options and commodities in the kitchen.

Menu Suggestion 1

Starter:
• Shrimp cocktail with hand-peeled shrimps, pickled pearl onions and crispy croutons

Main courses:
• Roast of chicken breast with lemon thyme
• Roast of beef cuvette with garlic and rosemary
• Heart salad with granny dressing, crispy radishes, rye crunch and cress
• Salt-baked celery with lovage vinaigrette, roasted hazelnuts and pickled cranberries
• Roasted potatoes with parsley and sea salt
• Mild Madagascar pepper sauce

Desserts:
• Lemon fromage with honey roasted walnuts and baked white chocolate
• Apple compot with macaroons, crunchy hazelnut, whipped cream and blackcurrant jam

Starter:
• Panfried cauliflower with hand-peeled shrimps, salt-roasted macona almonds, pickled red onions and sauce hollandaise

Main courses:
• Loin of cod poached with lovage, creamy mustard sauce, grilled lemon and herbs
• Roast beef bavette marinated in white wine, garlic and rosemary
• Honey glazed carrots with black pepper, tarragon and lemon peel

• Broccoli salad with granny dressing, crispy bacon and pickled cranberries
• Small roasted potatoes with tarragon salt
• Homemade bearnaise sauce

Desserts:
• Trifli with berries, vanilla cream, macaroons, crunchy hazelnut and whipped cream
• Intense chocolate mousse with fillet of citrus fruits and crisp white chocolate

Starter:
• Patty of puff pastry with rooster from Gråsten in creamy sauce and crispy crudité
• Tatar of beef fillet, sauce tartar, pickled pearl onions and crispy frisée salad

Main courses:
• Breast of guinea fowl stuffed with souffle with fresh parsley and garlic
• Veal tenderloin marinated in olive oil, dark beer, thyme and own honey
• Fried cauliflower salad with roasted hazelnuts, honey vinaigrette and pickled cranberries
• Bean salad with pickled red onions, vinaigrette, chervil, and flakes of danish Fyrmester cheese
• Small roasted potatoes with browned butter and freshly chopped tarragon
Red wine sauce with shallots and thyme

Desserts:
• Cheesecake with lemon / lime blackcurrant compote baked white chocolate
• Intense chocolate cake with raspberry foam

• Flyversjus # 2 – longpeber snaps and Fevertree lemon tonic, 95 dkr.
• Negroni with Cph Orange Gin, Regal Rogue Sweet Vermouth and Campari, 95 dkr.
• Ravelinen Spritz with Cph Mulberry Rosé, Regal Rogue Rosé Vermouth, Bitter Aperitif and dry cava, 95 dkr.

Wines – choose between:
• Nice wines = wines at the price range up to 370 dkr. from our wine list
• Better wines = wines at the price range 371-420 dkr. from our wine list
• Fantastic wines = wines at the price range 421-500 dkr. from our wine list

Cognac / liquor:
• Generous bestowed cognac / liquor = Choose between: Bailey, Cognac, Calvados, Grappa, Grand Manier, 5 years of Rum

Cheese:
• 3 Danish local cheeses with compote and homemade crispbread on rye flour and grains
• Cheese can only be ordered for all covers.

Midnight snack:
• Homemade patty with fricassée of chickens, rib roast sandwiches with cracklings or 2 kinds of grilled butcher sausages with commodities
• Midnight snack can only be ordered for all covers.

Practical::
• White table cloths, fabric napkins and small floral decorations are included.
• Extra free bar: +75 dkk per starting price per hour (however, no later than 02.00).
• Snaps and shots are not included in the free bar arrangement.
• Children under the age of 12 having the same menu is half cover price
• Children under 3 years of age there are no cover price.
• When confirmed we ask for a prepayment of approx. 10% of expected total coverprice.
• Prices are including danish VAT and service.

Principles for reservations

PRINCIPLES – for general reservations:
Any changes to numbers of participants, times or menu, please let us know as soon as you know if we need to change something. Otherwise, of course, we will stick to the agreement we made.
PRINCIPLES – for reservations with more than 7 guests:
In order to avoid unnecessary waiting for you and other guests, we kindly ask that you choose a relatively similar menu. Children and vegetarians are of course excluded
At lunch it could be one of our lovely cold tables, where you can have a little taste of everything. Alternatives could be a maximum of 3 different dishes at each serving at the table.
In the evening it could be to choose between 2 appetizers and 2 main courses. Cheese and dessert orders can be done as you wish on the evening.

You can order drinks for the meal individually, but we ask that the payment for these are settled together with the food. Unfortunately, it is not possible to settle individually for reasons of waiting for you and other guests – but we will be happy to help you split the bill into several tables if that is the case.

As a group you have to choose a single menu in advance. Unfortunately, we are not able to do it any different according to planning in the kitchen and staff in general.
You can order drinks for the meal individually, but we ask that the payment for these are settled together with the food. Unfortunately, it is not possible to settle individually for reasons of waiting for you and other guests – but we will be happy to help you split the bill into several tables if that is the case.

When booking seats for larger functions in the future, we will typically ask for a booking fee of 5,000 DKK, deducted from the final bill. Our bank connection is: Nykredit Reg. 8117 Account 4518297. Remember to write your booking number as info on the payment. We will confirm the deposit as soon as we have received it.
However, there are some other rules for the larger Christmas lunch days with a total arrangement, where the booking fee is 400 DKK per registered cover.
GENERAL PRINCIPLES:
In case of downgrade in participant numbers later than 10 days prior to event, we ask for compensation for the reservation of the seats and our staff planning. So, unless otherwise agreed, we request 50% of the full cover price for the fewer covers canceled later than 19 days before, 75% of the full covers price for the fewer covers canceled later than 12 days before, 100% of the full covers price for the fewer covers canceled later than 5 days before the event.
Remember of both parties of course to be bound by a reservation according to Horesta. A covers price will typically min. be 400 DKK for lunch and 500 DKK for evening.
For foreign groups, we will ask for credit card number and expiration date together with a reservation.
